Guillaume Dagousset, winner of the Jean-Pierre Sauvage Young Researcher Prize

The Organic Chemistry Division of the Société Chimique de France awarded the 2023 Jean-Pierre Sauvage Prize to Guillaume Dagousset. Congratulations !

The Organic Chemistry Division of the Société Chimique de France awarded the 2023 Jean-Pierre Sauvage Prize to Guillaume Dagousset. A graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure (Chimie ParisTech, Paris), he obtained his doctorate under the supervision of Pr. Jieping Zhu at the Institute of Chemistry of Natural Substances (ICSN, Gif- sur-Yvette), working on the development of new enantioselective multicomponent reactions catalyzed by chiral phosphoric acids (see the SCF article). Remember that the Jean-Pierre Sauvage Prize is intended for young researchers and teacher-researchers (less than 8 years of career). Congratulations ! From now on, Guillaume Dagousset works as a researcher in the Organic Synthesis team (SORG) at the Lavoisier Institute of Versailles (ILV-UVSQ/CNRS). He is particularly interested in the design of precursors of carbon, sulfur, oxygen or selenium radicals by photoredox catalysis, and their use in new methodologies, in particular for novel functionalizations of unsaturated systems.
