Activités / CV
Alexandre Genoux obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry from Université Grenoble Alpes, during which he carried out research projects at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in the group of Prof. Liming Zhang, and at the University of Cambridge, in the group of Prof. Robert Phipps. From 2016 to 2020, he completed his PhD at the University of Zurich under the supervision of Prof. Cristina Nevado, studying the reactivity of gold(III) organometallic complexes. From 2021 to 2023, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Patrick L. Holland at Yale University, funded by the Center for Hybrid Approaches in Solar Energy to Liquid Fuels (CHASE), where he worked at the interface between materials science and molecular inorganic chemistry. From 2024 to 2025, as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow, he developed new synthetic methodologies using nitrous oxide (N₂O) as a diazo-transfer reagent in the group of Prof. Kay Severin at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and with Prof. Shigeyoshi Inoue at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). In December 2025, he was appointed Junior Professor (Chaire de Professeur Junior) at the Institut Lavoisier de Versailles to establish a research program at the intersection of organometallic chemistry and non-PFAS organofluorine chemistry.
